does anyone know a FREE program that will maximize the speed of my internet because these days my internet is acting oddly and i'm worried about it because it affects the connection speed.... does anyone know a program that will maximize my connection speed that is NO VIRUS,FREE,and EASY to use? please i really need help ^^

Your Internet provider controls your speed, are you sure your not just needing more ram/memory or your needing to do a clean up of your computer, like temp folders and stuff left over from deleted and uninstalled programs etc.
try ccleaner from.. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner to clean your computer and repair your registry, its free and easy to use, just tick the boxes you want it to clean.
what OS are you using, XP, Vista or windows 7. ?

im using XP pro i'm sure my laptop has enough space for the internet to run smoothly i think i'll try ccleaner ^^

I don't know about you but My internet speed is 6 Kb per second but getting it faster next Tuesday

There is no way to increase your speed which is provided by your ISP but in some cases the speed is reduced from your computer due to your anti virus, closed ports....

No what I meant was on the tuesday I was getting ADSL2+ the one I had was 6 kBper second. Now it's 18 MB per second

Although you can be told that you're getting a certain speed from your ISP, it's best to check it when you get the chance, as they rarely give the speed they say and will cap it down, especially at peak times. I'm supposed to be on a 40MB connection, I can rarely get even 20MB from it, it's usually around 10. Frustrating.
You can optimise your computer for a faster connection, as sometimes it can be slowed down by the computer itself and the settings in your browser and such. Firefox in particular has tutorials on how to streamline your connection through it.

The only software I know and use to keep my laptop clean of all problems isn't free, so I can't really offer a suggestion for it. -dirty pirate-

Well, you can't download anything to speed your net up. Your ISP is the boss. And as mike told, try useing C_rapCleaner to clean up your PC. In addition, you can also tweak your browser to your advantage. I'll post back when I find the steps
