Would you believe it, I started up my laptop this morning and found I had no internet connection, I spent ages an ages trying everything to find out what was wrong...
But, I ended up having to phone the IP provider help desk, even then the first guy couldnt find out what wrong, so he put me onto the tech guys to see if they could help....
Yaaaay!! no probs, it turns out my router settings had gone all upset.....
( dont know how that happened... and i'm not admitting nothin!! )
But ive now found out that the router has a reset to factory settings button on the router website.
To access it when you cant connect, put the yellow ethernet cable into the router, type in your router url into the browser page, enter your user name, password, then click advanced settings/ tools/ reboot, down at the bottom, there's an option to reset the router to the factory settings.. click that, then enter your details again into the bits you need to.
( my connection was trying to connect to my password instead of my phone number... wonder who did that... * looks innocent * )
