So not cool , pretty decent , It look like you sharped the image and then blurred it a bit anyway , it looks alright so I give it a 8/10

Really nice work Kun, these are looking well cool.
As for having a border... sometimes, avatars or sigs that have a light background look better with a narrow border if your posting them in a place that uses a light background like here, it gives them shape and depth, rather than having the avatar background trying to blend in with the forum background.
( just my opinion mate.)

I think for ones that you make for members, make them 150 X 150 that way you can maximise on the size

I personally don't wanna take on a size thats atleast half my current one i'm fine with my current ones. And i'm getting interested in 120x120 avys so if you'd like to request em just do it at the shop

I think sometimes your text is a little 'off' if you know what I mean. On some of the avvies, the stroke is a little too much and color choice is 'eh'. But you're definitely going in the right way~ Keep it up =)
